H. A. "HUMPY" WHEELER
Wheeler has a vast background in motorsports and is a member of nine Halls of Fame including the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. He has successfully operated short tracks; served as Director of Racing for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company; for 33 years was President and General Manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway as well as President of Speedway Motorsports Inc., the first motorsports company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
He also has an invaluable knowledge of race car dynamics having designed and created several race cars including the Legends, Bandolero and ThunderRoadster. He has also been heavily involved in the construction of facilities and has an immeasurable knowledge of concession and souvenir management.
A graduate of Davidson College, Trip brings limitless knowledge and expertise in sales, marketing and research to the company. He was Sales Manager for World Sports Enterprises and was an executive with both GMR and Velocity Sports & Entertainment marketing firms. He was instrumental in the creation and sales of the first in-car camera advertising and has worked on major accounts like Toyota, Gillette, Visa, ConAgra and others. Patti is President of Wheeler Television, which is part of The Wheeler Company. She has been producing award-winning live event, documentary, news and other motorsports programming for almost 25 years. Several years ago she produced more live network sports television shows than any woman in the history of television. Patti was formerly President of World Sports Enterprises which at the time was the largest motorsports production company in the world and was Director of Motorsports for TNN where she also produced all the NASCAR programming.
